correction TLOU wasn't 60fps constant. it had alot of fps drop. However it was an amazing game. Even  games like metro last light was also 1080p 60fps with no problem.

Really? TLUO:R is a really stable 60fps... Tomb Radier is the one with a lot of drops.

However, more GPU-intensive effects may have impacted The Last of Us Remastered's other major enhancement: 60fps gameplay, doubled from the PS3 30fps standard (and based on our analysis videos, a target it frequently had issues sustaining). To answer the question everyone's been asking, frame-rate isn't locked to 60fps, but The Last of Us Remastered does spend the vast majority of its time at the optimal refresh. Problems can kick in during busy combat scenes, and just like the PS3 version, particles and transparent effects in particular can take their toll - the first confrontation with a fungus-spewing Bloater sees frame-rate hit a minimum of 46fps.

The good news is that this is pretty much as bad as it got across multiple hours of gameplay, and it's telling that in the 14-minute performance analysis video below (comprised of a number of gameplay clips), the game holds its lock well for the vast majority of its duration. You'll need to skip ahead to the ten minute mark to see the combat clips that caused genuine issues for this first iteration of the Naughty Dog engine running on PS4.

This comes from DF and i played the game. It wasn't as much as Tomb raider but  i felt it alot. Anyways thats going away from topic of this tread. The graphics for hardline is not that impressive on console , therefore it shouldnt struggle in getting a better res as there are so many game with high res and better graphics.  I hope the frame rate is constant 60fps with that frame rate.

It certainly depends on how you define "a lot"... As Eurogamer writes there are the occasional drop in the flooded inner-city area but besides that it's predominantly a 60fps game.

"There are occasional dips around flooded inner-city areas, but the experience is predominantly on the 60fps line. Naughty Dog offers a 30fps toggle, which caps the frame-rate to half the game's top-end refresh. Other Sony first party releases let players dabble with a similar option, such as Killzone: Shadow Fall and infamous: Second Son, though in this case there's really no need. Drops from the 60fps target simply aren't frequent enough to justify it."

My point was that there are many games at 1080p 60fps that look far better than BF Hardline (which will most likely have drops as well if you really wish to find them).

I don't agree. I'm let down by BF Hardline's graphics compared to BF4 (I know it's from the beta but it seems now that beta graphics, resolution and framerate was final).

Some examples of games all running 1080p and 60fps that I think look more appealing than BF Hardline and therefore point to BF Hardline being badly optimized.

Metro Redux

Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

Wolfenstein: The New Order

Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare (I know the art style is very different but this game is the definition of fun and it looks better than BF Hardline as well imo)

The Last of Us: Remastered

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition

Project CARS

Tales from your ass.......it was 60 FPS 99% of the time, it had a couple drops in specific areas..hyperbole at it's finest.

A couple of times.....You proved yourself wrong, 99% of the time it is constant 60 FPS.

Nope , i got the game. you are welcome to check the trophies as well :). Plus check digital foundry on it . ITs way more then 1 or 2% but  not as frequent as tomb raider.    I felt throughout the capaign as it drop  depending on teh scenes. Dont forget , thats last gen graphics not current as well.  Anyways BF hardlien engine is badly optimized s the graphics aren't anythign to cry home about or be impressed about.

I am sure hardline will have fps drop and yes there are games that look better then Hardline.  The egine is badly optimized. What i am suprised though , is that visceral games are known for their graphics as we have seen with dead space games. HOwever we do not see that with hardlien which is weird and disappointing.

There are many games that look much better than Hardline and run at a higher resolution. That is what leads me to believe it is down to poor optimization but hey, what do I know, I'm no developer...

Not really, Hardline is the most graphically-intensive game right now.

Yes they're definitely graphically-intensive.... because they're completely unoptimized.

Hardline is not a good looking game.

I guess we didn't learn from last gen about games getting better looking over time..

Amazing isn't it. PS1/PS2/PS3/Xbox/Xbox 360 ... Every generation, every time. But here we are YET again.

It's baffling.

The PS5 Exists.

Agreed. It's disappointing how unoptimized (and maybe rushed?) Hardline is. Playing Dead Space 1/2 for the first time on PS360 looked like sex!
