So hyped!!!! I need this game now.

But let me try and get things straight;
-Were all those playable characters integral to the story or just random NPCs you could take along for their particular quest?
-As you use weapons from a certain company your access to new products from within the company increases.
-Lots and LOTS of visual changing weapons and armour... looks like swimsuit season is open.
-That mech at the end is clearly Metal Face, they did say this would be a spiritual sequel to Xenoblade.
-Evil alien girl at the end... has a nice ass.....

I'm 100% sure that mech at the end was just the alien girl's Doll equivalent. Doubt it's an intentional referance to Xenoblade in and way other than their rolls in the plot as the "admin bad guy youre supposed to hate."

I really don't like the way the characters present this information. It makes me cringe...hopefully the game doesn't have the same tone.

What do you mean? Like their personalities while presenting? Because if so, you're likely going to be cringing a lot in this game.

And you likely cringed a lot during Xenoblade. This "tone" isn't exactly new to Xenoblade.

I'll have to wait for a translated video or something to understand most of it (for example: our group is made of three or four characters?), but so far battles look a lot like they were on the first Xenoblade. And I'm fine with that.

Please excuse my bad English.

They said earlier that your side can go up to 4 characters.

"Up to" is what worries me a little.

What we've seen during most of that "Direct" is a team of 3 members. Only at the end it became a group of 4, but I don't know if it's a "3 plus one side character from whom we have accepted a side mission and comes with us until we finish it" or a "you start with 3 characters and beyond a certain point you can add another one" situation.

That's why I want a translated video.

New things I gathered, in comparison to Xenoblade::

- No chain attacks
- Better Customization
- Awesome range of attacks (player character getting hit like a 50 yards away from monster by a boulder.)
- Elma is definitely the protagonist (player character being voiceless, takes a backdrop.)
-Interesting enemy.

I think he is referring to the very limited animation sets and stiff movement in the narration sections.  Which I can agree on, it would have been much improved to invest in some custom animations for these presentations.  But they probably didn't want to spend that kind of money on one-off presentations.

All these animations were built specifically for this presentation. Which is why it is cheap.
