Personally, I think that's a weird thing for him to say. I also don't think it bodes well for the price of the headset.

Well up until this time PS4 hasn't dropped in price. So...

What I want to know is will I be able to use the screen for normal viewing , like plugging my Vita in to it.

...but that still doesn't mean that the VR headset will be any cheaper. Hopefully it turns out alright!

Well Oculus is supposed to be between $200-$400 depending on a few things but they are targetting in that range so if Morpheus costs more than that, it won't have a very good time. Even $400 is too much for Oculus imo so hopefully, both will be $300 or less

That's what they're aiming for, and the hardware isn't that much different than PM from what we've seen so far. So my worry is that all VR headsets will be way too expensive. But so far. it looks like the next year for Sony will be trying to get the price down to something reasonable, and trying to get games for PM done.

I'd bet vr will be succesful as long as its less than 400. people are willing to dump 800 for slightly improved phones every year.

For this to explode it needs to be 199$. Maybe a ps4 bundled with morpheus will cost $600 but sold on its own $250. That's the most im willing to pay for it.

$100? Active 3d glasses are barely cheaper than that...That is an unreasonably low number.

Nah. Project morpheus/PS4 bundle for $500. By the time Morpheus drops PS4 will have its first price cut and many are predicting $100 slashed off. I think $500 for the bundle is the major sweet spot

I'd pay $250 if it came with a game/wii sports esque demo bundle, as long as it has GT7 support.

i sont think itll be 300$ with its first price cut. thats a lot to cut off and they dont really need it that much. 350 seems good.
