Price not a factor in Project Morpheus development.

I think it's more important for it to be reasonable for what it offers rather than just be competitive with Oculus...If they both come out and are the same price, but it's $500, VR dies for at least another gen right there.

Well Oculus is supposed to be between $200-$400 depending on a few things but they are targetting in that range so if Morpheus costs more than that, it won't have a very good time. Even $400 is too much for Oculus imo so hopefully, both will be $300 or less

That's what they're aiming for, and the hardware isn't that much different than PM from what we've seen so far. So my worry is that all VR headsets will be way too expensive. But so far. it looks like the next year for Sony will be trying to get the price down to something reasonable, and trying to get games for PM done.
