Shipped numbers, I assume? Unless sony has a magic way to know sold numbers two days after.

Ah, I see. Took me a while to realize that VGChartz has only updated to Feb 14th, so still Feb 21st and Feb 28th sales left to add. Still about 450k undertracked though, yes.

They announced March 3 figures last year... so looks like a trend.

Yea, both of these were big announcements. Last years was what? 7M? Which beat their projection for March by 2M. And this current announcement is for breaking 20M, which is a great news on its own considering how fast the PS4 did it

Sony shipped 19.9m as of Jan 4, that means that you are saying that ps4 has sold 300k in two months? Yeah that makes sense

xbox crossed 10M for sure.   ..but you don't re-announce 10M a month or so after pre-announcing 10M.  you let that FUD linger as long as you can get away with it to make it look like your product isn't getting destroyed at market.

 True, I guess, but why they ever said something as stupid as "almost 10 million units shipped" is completely beyond me. Only the most moronic of morons actually ate that shit up, while the rest of us were left scratching our heads.

Damn impressive. Still happy with PS3 though. Hopefully Sony will release 1TB models this year.
