Maybe I just have a pessimistic view of cross-over games. They can be decent or even good games, but something like , "maybe even one of the best RPGs?" and " one of the best games of the 8th gen" just doesn't seem possible to me and in my opinion is going to lead to dissapointment. I think if we expect something decent or good we'll be happy, but if we expect one of the best RPG's of the 8th generation, we will likely be dissapointed with the result. The only way I can see the game being "one of the best games of the 8th generation" is if it is a thematic crossover (now specific characters and neither series is overly dominant.) Now if we had a trailer that made us excited for a reason, that would be a whole different story. 


True. Well crossover games never tend to do well but when have we seen a crossover game with two very critically acclaimed RPG franchises? I feel like it will be a great game (especially since I love both) But I do see your point.

I mean the more we see on Xenoblade Chronicles X, the more I feel like that game is going to be THE BEST RPG of the 8th gen. THAT definitely has a chance. But I see what you mean.

Meh, I'd rather just have a straight-up Fire Emblem game for Wii U. SMT doesn't appeal to me, and I'm worried it'll use that gameplay more than Fire Emblem's.

I feel like it will have SMT's gameplay but realistically, how could they implment that with Fire Emblem? 1. Fire Emblem is more popular, meaning the tactics gameplay will appeal to more. The SMT gameplay is a lot like Final Fantasy (the older games) with only four characters (three being demons) in play. With all the SMT and FE characters, that would be a TON of "switches in teams" or "different teams" the gameplay in tSMT x FE is most likely going to be Fire Emblem's. With your characters being both SMT and FE, going against Demons. Maybe you even get demons and they act like the beast units in the Fire Emblem franchise? Who knows. But I highly doubt they will use SMT gameplay over FE. (But they might have some levels with SMT gameplay.)
