I think is a bad game, the one waiting for clicks was the 9.5/10 review.

Let's make another one, just an example, of someone who didn't like that much the Gameplay/story and story telling, and he was mad because the Game was a bit short  :

3) Gameplay and controls : 6/10

4) Story/Story telling : 6/10

5) Longevity/Value/Bugs-glitches : 4/10

The Average is 6.9/10.

No way, no way you give a 2/10 or a 3/10 to a polished Game like The Order 1886 !

This method would help a lot.

No dude, what I said was story would be max 2/10 and gameplay max 3/10 then be added up to be 5/10. That way you can dictate wich parts of a game deserve higher value. Like gameplay deserves more value than graphics, while graphics deserve more than sounds and what ever other thing to be judge. If we do it your way, wich is still better than what we have now, we would say that something unimportant like sound would be valued just as much s something essential like the actual gameplay.

But I should have wrote it better lnstead like

Story                            2/2

gameplay                    3/3

graphics                       2/2

glitches                        1/1

day one dc                  1/1

total                              10/10  or 100/100

Understood.  I was thinking about the old Method for every review for the reasons I already explained.

Yeah, maybe, but I don't think there's any evidence that that's the case with this one. I mean, unless you have access to a consumer study I haven't heard of or something.

I think that's done mostly for Nintendo games. How these games are not docked points for being more of the same is a blatant red flag.

Because you actually play Nintendo games.  

Oddly enough, even in threads not about Nintendo you make it about Nintendo.  For someone who doesn't play their games, you talk about them quite a lot.

So I'll take that as a no, then. I wasn't being serious when I asked that question, but I get the feeling you're not being serious either.

 

Either way, I think I need to point out that this feeling of "review collusion" and "unfairness" isn't exclusive to The Order or Sony. I've seen Nintendo, SEGA, and Microsoft (among other) fanboys all say the exact same thing about all sorts of games over the last decade. If you want to believe there's some conspiracy among reviewers to bash Sony or The Order, that's fine I guess, but it's also not in touch with the reality of things. As someone who used to think the same thing about reviewers and games I liked, I just got this to say: let it go and enjoy the game. If you liked it, great. Hopefully you'll like the inevitible sequel even more (which it'll definitely be getting if the sales pan out).

What we as gamers really should do is buying paper magazines instead. That way the magazine isn't dependent on ad revenue and can't be forced by publishers to give better scores to certain games.

I understand your frustration but i think you are being a little cynical. Magazines were just another casualty of the world becoming more digital. A couple of publications went away outside of gaming. But what are people to do now? I cant speak for everyone but i have a subcription to Game Informer, gamers hate that publication because of its ties to Gamestop (unfortunate as it is legit good), Sony doesnt have there PSM anymore, there is PC world (not everyone is PC gamer), Xbox magazine (not everyone is an Xbox gamer) and EGM which is only quarterly? are they even still doing print or did that die again?

And lets be real do you think people really want to wait a month to see if a game is good or not?
