Gameplay doesn't have to be broken to get a low score. In fact, being mostly functional is why it got even a 4 in the first place. There is literally nothing about the gameplay that is even slightly above average. The AI really ruins any fun you could have had in the gameplay.

Hopefully when they make the vampires for the next game they do so with a little more engaging design.

This review is exactly the same as I would have written, just that my writing is probably not as good. There is not a single word I disagree with, and not a single number as well.
I wish I could say that I hope the sequel will be better, but right now I don't care if there is one - I will not play it anyway.
