I was wondering why people seem so eager to dismiss stamps when, near as I can tell, they are the only ones that actually do something? Is it because they're under-utilized? I mean I can understand why they aren't in every game since stamps/trophies/achievements are inherently intrusive, but do people feel it should be an option regardless of developer vision? Is it because they can take a physical shape in the game rather than always being earned purely through research/dumb-luck? Or is it purely because they don't get represented as an abitrary stat on your profile?

Achievements > Trophies > Stamps

This, though the difference between Achiements and Trophies is very little imo, achievements is still better.

Trophies for me.

I love the simplistic breakdown of the platinum, gold, silver, bronze trophies. Like when you see somebody with 40 platinums then you know that person completed all the trophies of 40 games.

Achievements came first, are on all 360 games from the start, started the fad.

Trophies became after Achievements took off. Most of the launch games don't have them.

Stamps, nobody cares about when it comes to e-penis. They are better than nothing though.

The lack of a universal achievement system really makes it hard for me to dive into most Nintendo games.
