He also claimed there were "performance increases intended for developers" included in the last update, that is also full of shit, there IS a hardware configuration change coming FW wise, but in a major update, the support for that is already in the SDK, so when the major update releases they can simply issue game updates to take advantage of it, if they desire.

The update itself, does not contain any developer centric code and is just minor OS optimizations to change superficial operation, and increase stability of some modules.

Tidus/Tidux has, and always will be a fraud.

I want them to forget the resume feature, and just free up those resources to the developers. They are using way to much. Go from one core to half a core, and cut the memory usage to 1 GB. Those features aren't worth lowering game performance.

If i was to say "As a guess" what the performance update would be, I would say.

Reduction of memory reservation for OS to 2gb
Dynamic CPU speed (stock for OS, game can increase up to 200mhz when needed)
Expanded instruction set, removal of job stacking for UI
Reserved core unlocked to switch between game and os on the fly.

However accurate this "guess" ends, up, it's just a "guess", you hear me, SCE? :P

its clear that this is just a guess and a guess only, obviously. but if that does happen, i can see some pretty awesome threads here on VGC, fanboys going at it again because of the power of the consoles, can be great. dont disappoint us SCE.

suspend/resume imo really is an amazing feature on the Vita, hopefully it works just as well on the PS4 (and comes soon), although I expect it to be not as essential on a home console
