You do know his prediction means overall console sales of the generation would be 187 million. Which is an 80 millino decrease from last generation. If that's not an example of a receeding market I don't know what is.

Under 10 percent without question. Will the Wii U really sell 1 million consoles for every 9 million PS4s/ Xbox Ones sold? Plus, the Wii U's lifespan is bound to end a couple of years (at least) before the PS4 and XB1 do meaning a few years of literally no sales (if sales now weren't bad enough.)

I expect the XB1 and PS4 to do maybe 150 million between them before the end, and thats perhaps a conservative guess. Therefore the Wii U will have to reach 15 million in total. From here that seems an awfully big ask.

Wii U is still only at 9m and barely selling. I see it at 12 million max at the end of this year. That's all its system sellers out too. If a new console comes out in 2016 it might only sell 15 million lifetime. All the ps4 and x1 needs to do is sell 150m combined to make that 10%. Personally I think they will sell more then that. It's mind blowing really how bad the Wii U is selling.

Just what I was thinking. I'd say Xbone and PS4 will achieve 120-130 millions combined, so staying past 10% is very much a given.

Now, I selected 17-20% and I know very well it will be very hard to next to impossible, but hope dies last. If the Wii U keeps gaining momenum it could sell over 20 milions, but it will be hard to acheive that feat.

I never quite understand this line of reasoning. What in the industry tells anyone the industry is in a recession? both the PS4 and XB1 have broken all records set by their predecessors launch aligned. So I don't get it.

Unless we are talking about handheld sales, for which there is a perfectly logical explanation for its decline. The way I see this gen, one console is doing exceptionally well, another is doing just fine and one is dead. Does not indicate the industry is in recession. Whenever I see contents like yours I can't help but feel it sounds more like "I hate console/I own Nintendo so it must mean the industry is in recession and that's why consoles won't do well/the WiiU is underperforming" 

I can't see the WiiU selling more than 22 million. To be honest, I don't think it will reach 20 million. It's a shame. I will say 9-12%
