He probably means the exclusive thirst.

So then, every exclusive game sells because of this "thirst" because console gamers can't live without an exclusive game in 4 months as the plenty of multiplat games are not enough. Good to know.

great proof of this is the wiiu, it satisfies the "exclusive thirst" by having the most exclusives, and as a result it outsells the PS4 and XB1.

That seems to be the stigma around the 1st half of 2015.

But no, not every exclusive sells because of the thirst. But if someone isn't interested in Driveclub or LBP, which is something that happens, what exclusive have they had to play since TLOUR?

Not sure why you guys are acting like this. But I never said anything about hardware sales.

because "exclusive thirst" doesnt make sense. people buy games they want to play, the fact if its exclusive or not doesnt matter. PS4 owners got Dying light a month ago, Evolve a week ago, and The Order just a few days ago, their is a steady stream of games and there being a thirst for them doesnt make sense.

Well sure Dying Light, but looking at the 40k last week and the 13.6k this week for Evolve on both consoles it doesn't reallly show that people on PS4 got Evolve a week ago. You're right that they buy what they want to play but if what they want to play is a cinematic ps4 exclusive then there is exclusive thirst.

Edit: Also, where is dying light on the UK charts?

that makes zero sense. people dont buy games based on exclusivity, they buy them based on whether or not they want to play them.

A lot of people buy because of media attention. And because of marketing. But generally you are right but the myth of the well reasoned buying behaviour needs to go. It never existed and never will.

The game was pushed back a month everywhere outside the US, the games release 27th of February.  It was released the 27th of Jan in the US

So they didn't even get Dying Light? Proves my point even more.

The Order expected as its setting is in London and nothing new came out to satisfy the thirst. Besides of that, week seems to be like last (as usual) but nice to see Halo:MCC and Forza Horizon 2 both climbed up again. Good legs for both.
Surprised seeing TLOU again. Was it bundled? Huge price cut?

DOA 5: Last Round and Total War: Attila also came out. Also there is no real thirst for games, Evolve was released just last week.

Do you want to argue that shooters have the same attraction as beat'em'ups? The Order is targetting a specific genre which always sells more than others. Again, let's see next weeks numbers and legs.
