It’s genuinely my favourite bad prediction thread on this site. I enjoy it so much. I hope more people get a good laugh out of it if its ever bumped again.

I was looking for this thread the other day, but couldn't quite find it.
So thanks for the bump! XD

There are so many ridiculous takes here.
The Wii was an anomaly, the New 3DS is a new gen console, the PS4 could fail to outsell the PSP.
Just hilarious.
What's funny about this today is we could end up having all Big 3 consoles sell more than PSP this generation. Switch and PS5 are a done deal and I could see, particularly with the demand of the Series S in the rest of the world, Xbox accomplishing it as well.
Necrobumping^ The Deluluness (Delusion)! Have a field trip with this, for those who cant find anymore this Delusional thread.

it’s insane how accurate OP was…didn’t the 3DS outsell the PSP? Or did it only approach? Edit: 3DS (75mil) fell short of PSP (>80mil). I guess he was right for all the current gen systems…completely missed the mark with Nintendo.

Switch 150 million. He didn't think any Nintendo system would sell more than 20-50 million. He was way off.

Crazy how quickly and drastically things can change in this industry; a decade ago, the idea that Nintendo would never again outsell the PSP was agreed upon by many, and now in the wake of the Switch's success, it seems laughable that people actually thought this.
