Super Metroid is my favorite, so this comes as a pleasant surprise.

Metroid Prime is one of the best FPS I've ever played, but Samus in Metroid Prime is not as strong as Samus in Super Metroid. She reaches GOD TIER in it Super Metroid, and it's REALLY Fun getting her there. so many hidden moves and easter eggs and epic boss battles. Also the game has one of the best playable endings of ALL TIME! It's classic!

Well I played the demo on the DS back in 2004 and thought it was pretty boring, but after I tried the other ones like Prime and Fusion that people said were good, I generally changed my mind.
