Never heard people chanting "offense" in a sports game. Its common knowledge that defense wins games. Keeping your opponent from scoring is just as if not more important than scoring.

After watching the fight I saw the fight 4 rounds to 3 in favor of mayweather until Round 8. After that, pacquiao slowed down. You can tell that mayweather was the better boxer. I feel that Cotto gave Mayweather a better fight.

Well not to derail this thread even more but soccer is a boring sport altogether.

As far as boxing goes. A lot of people watch boxing to see people knocking each other the fuck out. People actually attempting to knock each other out. Not a game of tag. It looked like Mayweather was just touching Pac's head to score points and then run. Then hug if Pac was about to do damage. 

I'm aslo sure a lot of this disappointed towards the fight comes from the fact that most people have never seen Mayweather fight before or know of his evasiveness. The people who've seen some of him probably were surprised to see his new fighting element, "the hug".

Hugs win battles, not violence. Mayweather taught us that. He is truly the undisputed champion of the world.

The best part about people saying this was a complete missmatch is that pacquiao hadn't even a swolen check. Mayweather hits looks like amateur punches, score by connecting.

And to the armchair condescending experts. How many there actually praticed martial arts or high performance sports? Real defense for counter attack is more aggressive from inside than a barrage of attacks. You must pressure your opponent to make him do mistakes or leave only options that you will exploit. This fight had none of that, just backpedalling and turtling, not a single time fmw forced pac to error and used it to try a ko. That's what made this game boring.

In soccer when you have exceptional defense because of pressuring and marking on attack field, when you get the ball analyse if a fast break counter attack or cadencing is better people like the game even with small scores (although from time to time a match with 4-3 is great to see). But closing down on half of the defensive field, never do a real attack, just slowly go for a faul kick or similar stop ball tactics is boring as hell. And don't come preaching a brazilian don't understand the sport.

I brought the view of two world champs since you and others were claiming that only idiots would consider fmw to won the fight.

The scorecard must be counting a lot of cheapshots because I haven't seem that manny punches from fmw. And as I said, scorecard from judges and commentators from other countries were quite different. Besides that if people wanted to see fights won by points they would watch amateur boxing.

But I guess you know better than 2 world champion. And Justin Bieber and lil wayne are better boxe expert than mister olimpia and rocky.

So what are the real percentages if the scorecard is so rigged? Because all I see from you are opinions. Don't really care that you keep bringing up how these 2 world champions feel about the outcome. Manny got out-boxed, out-smarted and fell to fatigue late in the fight.
