Did I miss something? Pikmin 3 didn't seem light on content to me, it had a full story mode of decent length, plus local multiplayer and challenge mode.

Meh. I never found the other modes appealing at all and the shoved-in-your-face DLC didn't help. The story was decently long (took me about 14 hours) but somehow I could never find the motivation to replay it despite having really enjoyed it the first time - and that's very, very unusual for any game I enjoy, especially when they come from Nintendo. Thankfully, I know lack of replayability will never be an issue with a Miyamoto Star Fox... I just hope length isn't one either.

Seemed to have quite a solid degree on content to me, guess it's just a matter of opinion.

I still have grave fears regarding Starfox, but you already knew that. :p

Do I?

I thought we'd had that discussion before, where I fear that Starfox Wii U will be effectively a minigame collection with terrible controls.

And I already told you it's going to be fine. I'm more optimistic about that than I am about Zelda Wii U running at 1080p.

Time will tell. I'm a cynical old fart. ;)

out of all those i'm interested in about 5. and they're all so far away!! aaaaaggggh! At least splatoon is almost here. Hope it doesn't disappoint.

I didn't enjoy the lack of content in Pikmin 3 either, and believe I would have been very disappointed if I had paid money for it rather than getting it for free on Club Nintendo.

But to be honest, if Star Fox is as light on content as Pikmin 3 is, I won't mind paying $60 for it, because 15 hours is a lot for Star Fox standards. And hopefully there'll be good online multiplayer to keep it going.

Maybe I'm just used to platformers and RPGs, but I thought Pikmin 3 was a little short. You can 100% the game in under 10 hours if you're efficient enough. Many challenges were DLC-locked and while the price was reasonable, it wasn't as great of a deal as the MK8 DLC and the game wasn't as brimming with content as Fire Emblem: Awakening.

I have my doubts due to Zelda being the biggest game Nintendo's ever created and they're perfectionists and have to have everything perfect. Which is good.. however that would cause them to take longer on the game and that's how I would see a delay take place. I sincerely hope not though.

Star Fox I could see getting delayed,no matter what Miyamoto says.  I say this because I think of another game they said was ''definitely'' come out on a certain date and then delayed it. That was Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze. It has a solid release date of November 2013 and then at least minute was delayed to 2014.

So I can't put anything passed Nintendo, since I don't trust them with spacing and their overall release schedules

They're the same people who gave us game droughts on two of Wii U's years so far

Yeah, with Nintendo's release dates it's best to hope for the best but expect the worst.

So far, we've seen delays for Pikmin 3, Tropical Freeze, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Wii Fit U, Wii Party U, and in PAL, Captain Toad and Kirby & the Rainbow Curse.

On the one hand, I commend them for not  rushing incomplete products out the door like so many other companies, but it does mean we can't really trust their projected release dates/windows.

I would normally agree with you both, but I strongly think Zelda will be done for the Holiday of 2015. Reason being they have no heavy hitting game for the Wii U for the Holidays. I doubt they would REALLY do the Wii U (and it's owners) dirty and NOT release ANY MUST HAVE game for the holidays (unless they plan on making another popular Remake and they are keeping us in the dark...).

I'd still call a campaign of that length plus challenges and local multiplayer a pretty solid package.

I reckon Zelda has about a 75% of releasing this year. If it doesn't, Animal Crossing U will likely take its place as their holiday game.

If they plan to do Animal Crossing really well wouldn't that take awhile to make though? I mean you don't usually get a big game revealed with no teaser or rumours prior and have game released within a few months. We knew about 3D World, DKCTF was delayed, Captain Toad was a small game and didn't release in EU/AU until the New Year...

Part of me is worrying that whether or not Zelda makes this year, they are planning on casual Amiibo game that uses the Amiibos like microtransactions in the worst way possible. I'm not sure the Wii U has, or ever will have at this point, the base for such a game, and it might alienate core fans who pride on generally NOT having to worry about those kinds of practices for Nintendo products.

I feel either zelda or star fox will be hit with the delay machine and fall into 2016

Zelda for sure.
