@Bold And that's how it should be because hardly do critics align with the customers ... It hardly takes a few days to spread news about a product. The word of mouth alone from the consumers all around is enough for them to make a full judgement within five days ... AC Unity is a mediocre game ? Umm, not many people share that sentiment and it's first week compared to the rest of the lifetime sales so happen to agree with me ... And nobody should take game journalism all that seriously since that's not even an accredited profession ... |
AC Unity has a 70 meta so that means it must suck. Am I right? I mean we dont need play games if our trusty ole reviewers (sheperds) tell us not to.
I for one enjoyed AC Unity and all of its 70 meta critic greatness. It is a better game than AC: BF by a long shot. It looks beautiful, they got rid of that stupid multiplayer no one played and added co-op which is fun. And it is by far the best setting in the series. You cant beat Revolutionary Paris. So many historical figures in one tight period of time and Paris makes a perfect sandbox.

Did you add sarcasm ? If you did then I failed to detect it ...

1st line was sarcasm not directed at you but people who live and die by other people's opinions. 2nd paragraph is how I felt about AC Unity which does not line up with how the reviewers felt at all. Implying I would have missed an excellent gaming experiance had I just listened to other people's opinions instead of forming my own.

I didn't think that the first line was directed at me so I'm good on that but it's good to know that it was sarcasm ... ^_^

And how much of those lifetime sales are attributed to it being bundled with every Xbox One sold during the holiday?
Ubisoft had to go all out to sell the game, to the point where it had to be bundled with an already discounted console.

Surprisingly I have found many people who have played Assassin's Creed Unity who told me that despite it's flaws the game was very fun. Actually it ends up being just about everyone I have talked to personally who owns the game. One of them even tried talking me into it, but I wouldn't bite. I got bored in AssCreed4, so no way will I be trying the franchise again. Unsurprisingly the media and the hardcore gaming community tend to blow things out of proportion. I have seen it all too often over the years, with AssCreed4 and Destiny being the most recent examples. |
I actually do like Assassin's Creed Unity, it's not as good as Black Flag but it's better than 3, at least for me. AC Unity, however, was practically on life support a few weeks after release, to the point where Ubisoft was bundling it with already heavily discounted Xbox Ones.

Last time I checked bundling only occured for 7 weeks and prior to that Over 1.5 million users had already purchased AC IV for the Xbox One so until you can give evidence to show otherwise that vast quantities of the AC Unity has been sold as bundles your supposition remains null for the most part ...
