This Kirby got a higher score than the Order... Who would have thunk it?

Anyone who has been around all of this gen

All these AAA games that get overhyped and turn out to be medicore or worse come out, while Nintendo has consistently released quality games since the start of this gen

True. But still, the Order did look so promising. Story wise it sounded fantastic too (Meeting Nikola Tesla? ), plus it probably has the BEST LOOKING GRAPHICS this gen so far.

It's just really hard to believe that a simple game of drawing lines on a virtual pad can be better than a game with so much more potential. Then again Rainbow Curse is probably a longer game and is more replayable than The Order anyway (that in itself is very sad if true)...!

Gen 7 and gen 8 Graphics>Gameplay except on one system. Gamers have become obsessed with what is technically pretty or just pretty and think that it means good games. Usually the graphics are the only good thing about a lot of games.

Would have hoped that it would be equal to Canvas Curse.

Of the reviews I read, it didn't say anything about a rainbow run mode or anything like that for replay. I'd be disappointed if that's gone.

Wow, I've almost filled out my Review Thread Bingo Card. I just need a "All Review Scores are Bullsh*t Anyway" to win.

As for the game itself, everything I've seen and read points to a game heavy on charm and out-of-the-box thinking, and light on...pretty much everything else. Not a game I'm personally interested in.

What is it light on exactly?

Content, for one (even the positive reviews point to a 6-7 hour experience). Depth of mechanics. Thought-provoking problem-solving. Story. Nothing that breaks a game by its absence, but things that I find enjoyable, and don't seem tangibly present here.

It is worth keeping in mind that this is a budget release, at only 40$. I think it has a decent amount of content for that price, with the story levels, collectibles, challenge stages and co op multiplayer.

Otherwise, I can see what you mean. It is very much a "easy to learn, hard to master" game, and with its atypical direction, it doesn't seem like it is for everyone.

Wow, so many rehashed bosses. 75% on metacritic seems too high for this lazy game.

GamesBeat just gave it an 82. Back up to 75 now.

Hmm, still only 14 meta reviews.

Kirby's Epic Yarn has 70 reviews in comparison, but similar to how Rainbow Curse will be handled, it was released in Europe and Australia more than 4 months after Japan and NA.

Rainbow Curse's release in Europe currently has a listing for Q3/Q4 2015, and Australia doesn't even have one yet. :/
