You raise a fair point. I guess we can use Majora's Mask as a guinea pig, considering it's the worst selling 3D Zelda on the same handheld as ALBW, so we can compare its sales to that. Then we just need a real 2D Zelda on a home console, but I don't really think that's going to happen soon.

It's probably more safe to say that home console Zeldas sell better than handheld Zeldas. It just so happens that 3D and 2D are typically exclusive to those platforms. At least until the 3DS launched, that is.

I do think Majora's Mask vs Link Between Worlds could be a pretty good barometer for 2D vs 3D -- if MM oustells LBW. If it doesn't, it really doesn't prove anything in my opinion since MM is a remake and released late in the 3DS's life.

Also realized during the launch of Updated Software as well (New Nintendo 3DS XL).

I agree on both counts.

Official Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Thread

Nothing about 3DS, Wii U and other stuff?

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

Like what? Sales? We already know that stuff.

Anything unrelated to amiibo.

For those complaining about how well remakes are doing compared to genuine sequels/modern games, I have this to say: Many of us that are buying these remakes didn't play them when they first came out. I personally never played Ocarina of Time as a child (I saw it played by others a little) and I NEVER played nor saw Majoras Mask as a kid, but I own and have played both on the 3ds. The thought of playing those games on the N64, with one of the worst controllers ever made, horrifies me. I'm glad they are doing remakes, and I'm strongly considering using my Nintendo club coins to get Star Fox 64 3D for 3ds.

If you never played StarFox 64, do not hesitate 1 millisec. do it!!!

Then when you play try to unlock all the routes on the map & all the secret paths in level! That game is a blast!!!

Unlike the Zeldas, I did experience (over and over again) the joy of Star fox 64 as a kid. However, that game was so good it's worth getting again with enhanced visuals and the joy of 3d (the New 3ds 3d is SO much better than the old one) along with mobility of the device.

Nothing really worth while.

Games that will use the gamepad in meaningful ways.

Big sellers on 3DS in Japan.

And the animal crossing-tomodachi life in the OP.

Not much else.
