Fire Emblem - Path of Radiance.
Everyone will say Awakening because either it's the only fire emblem they have played, or because it is VERY easy.

Nah, I've played all the other FE games that came out here except PoR and I still liked Awakening over them.
I'm sad to see Radiant Dawn is so low on the list. Admittedly, Part I is something of a drag, but other than that it's roundly awesome.

Yah, Part I is slow but it is slightly interesting to see how the enemy nation from the previous game is coping and turning them into the protagonists (Atleast for Part I). I always wondered what the point of Part II was. I guess it's more of a "break"/filler between Part I and Part III but it does introduce Nephenee! Part III is the best part of the game imo, the story picks up and starts getting good. The Greil Mercenaries vs. The Dawn Brigade was interesting but I think it could've been better. Part IV is a little odd, because I don't particularly like it. It almost felt a fan-fiction to me because all the characters drop their conflicts and band together to fight a common evil. Sure, that's interesting but I felt Part IV was rushed and anti-climatic (Seriously, they spoiled the identity of BK way before you even fight him in the endgame!). While I can see why people think that RD is fantastic, I just think that RD is a mash-up that doesn't quite glue together.

Perhaps it would be higher if it wasn't so hard to find (in North America)...
Have a nice day...

The reason I don't have any issues with Part IV isn't because its narratively perfect (it isn't), but because I don't place high value on Fire Emblem plots in general. Even the best ones involve the mightiest empire(s) on the continent(s) single-handedly falling to a dozen or so fighters led by the prince of some mid-sized and fallen country. The Dawn games' version of mixing it up was to make the hero into a mercenary instead of a prince.
I generally agree though that Radiant Dawn's plot was poorly paced.
How the heck Awakening is first ?
You never played other Fe games, it's impossible otherwise.
Anyway, for me it's the duo Path of radiance/Radiant Dawn, then thracia 667, then the 2nd remake on nintendo ds (which was the one to introduce the avatar in fire emblem, yeah, it wasn't awakening who did that).
Awakening being one of the worst with the poor story/characters/difficulty, but it's still better than shadow dragon or the 2nd on gba...(which is one of the easier FE too, and on 3ds eshop, coincidence ?).
I really hope the next FE will be better.

It's kinda sad how the only reason why Awakening is winning is because it was the most played and the rest of the games most people haven't played yet. I love Awakening and its a great game, however I think the Radiant games are the best and Radiant Dawn is definitely my favorite.

I think you're generalising people that loved Awakening. Is it that wrong to love Awakening so much?
I've played all the FE games that have come out in the West (Except PoR) and I still liked Awakening more than them (But if you include the Japan-only ones, then Awakening is definitely not on top of my list). Sure, Awakening is most people's first FE game but it doesn't mean that Awakening can't be on the top of the list.

Thracia and the 2nd DS game are excluded by virtue of never being released in the West.
And didn't Blazing Sword introduce the avatar to the series?
