One thing which annoys me, as curl eluded to, is that you never have enough Armour Spheres. They're too rare and too important to make the game manageable for my liking, but I suppose that's the point. An awful lot of it comes down to your skill, and less so your armour. Because if you're good you shouldn't be being hit.

I have plenty of armour spheres, they just dont start giving me the better ones quick enough. I have a heap of armour spheres left over but I really need AS+ -_-

Same here. My sets (Alloy, Tetsucabra) are all stuck at level 3 cos there's no way to get Sphere + yet.

What weapon are you running??
I have a Great Bagpipe (HH) with full Bone set for the Maestro active skill.

I really should get the game, I tried the tutorial (after not playing a handheld MH for years) and find it not as enjoyable without another stick on my regular 3DS, I saw that the new model loads faster, has a little umf in the graphics dept and the extra nub being somewhat decent for camera controls, I should probably grab myself a regular N3DS sometime this or next month as I'm not really sold on ordering a pro stick for my regular model.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

I'm kind of juggling a Knight Lance +, a Commander's Dagger, and a Defender's Blade. Really enjoying the new charge blade class actually, it may well be my new main.

The game is perfectly playable with just the regular 3DS, but it can get a little tiring and when the difficulty is upped, then will likely be when you notice the lack of control.

So yeah, it's perfectly possible without it but it's much easier with (so I'm told)

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Yeah I found myself being incredibly slow when trying to deal with the bigger monsters with just the one stick and trying to use the D pad to control the camera felt really difficult to manage while attacking at the same time, It's why I'm thinking on the N3DS since it will be egtting some games made for it and I do like the slight upgrade in ahrdware, I'd be willing to give the nub a try though, going to check my local GAME store tomorrow before going to work to see what kind of deal I could get with trading in my current 3DS.

I almost never use the D pad to move the camera when fighting bigger monsters.  Your supposed to use the target cam.

I'm old fashioned when it comes to MH so I still tend to use the D pad or previously would use the other stick =P.

I was wondering, if I bought Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for my Wii U would it feel like a huge step back after playing MH4U?  I kinda want to try playing the series on the big screen.  Also I know MH4U is the first MH game with a real story mode but is there any kind of story in MH3U?
