If by success you mean 'not losing by as much' in ONE territory, then yes, I suppose so.
The PS5 Exists.

Not hard to do when all of those games have already reached their peek on PS4 when they released.Xbox is just late.all of those are old games and have had price cuts. They have all sold better on PS4 total, both globally and in the US.

what's ur defintion of success?
only being first?
if so, was the ps3 a failure last gen? i don't think so
the only two systems right now, that deserves that kind of treatment are the wiiu and vita. and even that is debatable in some various aspecs

Except it kind of was. Sony lost a lot of money on it, they lost their marketshare and they possibly came in 3rd behind the Wii and X360. The one aspect they arguably won in was games and that is completely subjective.

Xbox One's aren't negative PS4s. It's not a success for MS, its a failure for Sony. Not to mention if they both sold worse Januaries, its bad for the entire industry.
The only thing that could be construed as an "objective" success is the top software spot for MS.

Moving the posts at its finest. as long as we have no numbers we have no idea by how much the xb1 is selling software better. The NPD doesn't even account for the fact that a more ppl may just be buying more software digitally on the ps4. point us, we can't know for certain.
what we do know for certain is the hardware. and the ps4 won. common sense would suggest that the ps4 should be down yoy and the xb1 up yoy being that one is over 35% cheaper this year and the other is still at the same price.

Meaning if PS4+XBone sold 100k the PS4 sold 56k?
If so then the gap really shrunk.
Also very surprising if the Vita took 39% of the handheld marketshare in the US. Does that include the PSTV? Hard to tell when he seperates those two figures.
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
