Do they ship games before release date so they get to you on the day?

I've been burnt by Amazon's crappy shipping times two times too many now (one game got to me 5 days late.)

I ask because on the site for Mortal Kombat X, it says it SHIPS 14/4 which is the day it releases .... I want the game ASAP.

Also it's £43 to pre order online vs like £50 in store? So fuck that.

But they do always ship them before launch. It's not impossible it will turn up the day after, but they're pretty good

A couple of years ago they were actually very reliable with delivering them the day before launch

Thanks Munkeh, I heard they were good at getting the game to you on release, just wanted to check. I did want to order online and pick up in store but they wouldn't allow that -_-

They shipped the Bayonetta 2 First Print at the 20th (24th was the official release).

It's usually two days before release.

But don't buy older games there, they systematically sell used games as new ones and replacing them can be a terrible processs.

They do ship before release day.

However, I stopped using Game when they scammed me on mgs vita price.

But that was isolated, so go for it.

I made 8 orders (2 pre-orders) and got 3x pre-owned games (never ordered pre-owned).

It's annoying, but they're sometimes very cheap and they have to replace it with sealed games.

It seems like they do it more often with orders from other countries where the buyer can't simply exchange them in a local store. They hope that the customers are too lazy to ask for replacements. And I oftenly see downvotes of game.co.uk deals on comparison sites because of complaints about used games instead of new ones.

I have always received teh game between 2 days before release and same day of release.

At least for UK.

My last pre-order with them arrived on release day.

Previous pre-orders with them have arrived either on release day or the day before.

I don't trust any retailer to ship on time so I always stop by Best Buy, Future Shop or EB Games on release day and I've always been able to get a copy.
