I would certainly like to believe it is coming. Wii U does indeed need all the games it can get, especially ones like this that bring variety to its library.

Looks like it was a exploit in a old firmware that was patched. With the system they have now, I doubt it will be so easy to hack as the Wii. I think our best shot will be a western localization. |
Where there's a will, there's a way; the Wii had firmware updates as well.
Obviously a Western release is preferable, but if that doesn't pan out, all hope is not lost.

Hopefully we won't have to rely on someone to crack the Wii U to make it happen. As odd as it sounds with all of the evidence to the contrary I think Nintendo will shift their policies towards region lock in the future. But I still think a western release will happen too. But if Nintendo decides to go ultra conservative and censor all the outfits and the features of the JP version then I'd be singing a different tune.

That will be circumvented. Hackers have already made some inroads into Wii U, they'll crack the region lock eventually, like they did with Wii. |
Excellent news! Good luck to them!

It doesn't... yet. |
Well that is very nice on their part, then. :)
What happens if right after the fan translation is finished, localization is announced? What then?

The translation of the actual text is neartly done, but its a long way from that to a workable homebrew patch.
