I talking with a friend about the games and thought to myself, that you present your opinions and views can bring. I like them both, but which game is better for you ? Did you play both? The games are not comparable, but I am interested in it. 

The caracters and story are better in Y4. And i personally found the maincaracter Nico Bellic in gta4 boring. The physics in gta4 was good. Very realistic and better than in Y4 and the country was bigger. (In Y4 there was one city) However, I like Yakuza 4 much better than GTA 4. Y4 had impressed me more and emotionally touching.

But GTA 5 is very awesome and one of the best games. Looking forward to Yakuza 5 this year. For those who have never played Yakuza: Yakuza 4 is now free for ps+ members (only in february, ps3)

Is this even in question? Yakuza 4.

If Brucie had been the main character of GTA 4 this would be a close call.

Yakuza 4 > GTAIV

Yakuza 5 > GTA5

Yakuza 1, 2, 3 or 4 > GTA IV
In fact lets just say most great games > GTA IV

Yakuza 4 by far. GTA IV was one of the biggest disappointments in gaming imo.

I might actually download yakuzo for free now. My backlog is overflowing.

Yakuza 3 was better than both. Yakuza 4 was good too but the setting had become really stale being that its the same setting from the three previous games.

Yakuza 3 had an Okinawa based setting too but Yakuza 4 got rid of that only to replace it with empty rooftops...

And yakuza 5 is the biggest game, i hear. why do you like yakuza 3 soo ? = ) its interesting for me.

the people here vote for yakuza 4 and not for gta iv, i'm suprised.
