Bayonetta 2 Wii U Review

Originality: This game loses it’s originality factor due to it’s prequel, but it is still a very unique experience compared to other games/series. Still, the combat is roughly identical to Bayo 1, it is just as “dirty” as the first. However, the fact that the storyline more or less takes place in the future (but really the past) makes this an interesting ride that I don’t experience often in a video game.

18/20

Graphics: Absolutely phenomenal. Both the live action scenes and the movie scenes.

10/10

Art Style: While the everyday people and setting look rather typical and boring, I really appreciated the overall style for the angels, demons, and some of the wackier battle settings. Overall it was an enjoyable art style, while nothing mind blowing.

12/15

Story: Offensive, rude, insulting, sexual (in a bad way) yet filled to the brim with moments of humorous and sarcastic dialogue scenes as well as plot twists and a rather intense ending. The story in this game was insulting, but it was well done (if that makes any sense!). Still, it did not leave me wanting to curl up in a ball and weep until the 100 year winter ends like Batman: Arkham City ending did. I loved the slow realization of what every character was and how this game actually serves as a prequel/sequel to Bayo 1 and makes the events in Bayo 1 all the more emotional.

26/30

Game Interface: I love me gamepad for making da screen nice and clurrr!

5/5

Controls easy and fluid or difficult and rigid? YES!!! A button masher game that was simple, fun, and still satisfying for pulling off combos.

5/5

Is it fun? That is the biggest constant of this game. It never. Stops. Being. Fun.

15/15

Good score.

Personally, it's a 10/10 though.

Hyrule Warriors scored more than Bayo 2? Really?...

I absolutely hated the story for the first one, so I wouldn't play the sequel based on that alone, but the gameplay was great so I'm glad they get to continue delivering that kind of intensity and excitement. I hope everyone who buys it has a great time.

"Assassin’s Creed 4 Wii U – 86 +5 = 96"

Less videogames, more math... LOL

It scored higher in my reviews too. Several months later with the hype gone, it feels more than justified.

Seriously? ._.

They're both mindless button mashers. Nothing to write home about. But hey, lot's of people like that, so who am I to complain.

Yes, absolutely.

Hyrule Warriors only beats Bayonetta 2 in the fact that it gives more value because it will take much longer to beat the game. (even longer with DLC.)

B2 beats in story, look, gameplay, online, fun and atmosphere in my book.

Your opinion is wrong.

Good think it's just sarcasm (opinions being wrong)

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

Mashing buttons it's the part of satisfaction, especially when you hold combos. I actually see many people struggling with this part, so of course I understand the dislike toward this kind of games.
