And I dislike when people try to make it seem like nostalgia is what makes Melee popular even today. It is nothing but an uninformed view that only serves to insult those who prefer a game with different physics, mechanics and metagames.
The sad thing is that this isn't an isolated incident. The article mentions that several years ago a winner of a Brawl tournament was also booed on stage by some Melee fans when he got his award. The Melee community needs to discipline its more rowdy members.
ZeRo is my favorite Smash player. Can't believe he was disrespected like this.

Oh. So you're saying that every time you plan an event at a hotel, you should check that it hasn't broken any fire code regulations and that the elevators have all been inspected recently and that it meets all earthquake building codes and that all their employees have had recent drug tests and have no criminal record and...would you like me to go on? Do you realize how ridiculous you sound? Do you?
I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.

And have you not gotten bored of watching thousands of melee matches consisting of only Fox, Falco, Marth, Jiggly, Sheik, and Captain Falcon? And let's be honest, most people play Fox. It's ridiculous that you could even bash on a game that hasn't had very much time to develop. I would bet you much money that Diddy will NOT continue to be the #1 player. I guarenfuckingtee it.

This is old news. The melee scene has always been populated with spoiled manbabies.
Don't support this but there's hate on both sides, as shown on here as well. I may prefer Melee but leave other Smash games to themselves. Some people find other games better than others (although Melee will always be my favourite smash until another will be able to replace it :P)
I always thought of hardcore Melee fans as the most annoying type of Nintendo gamers.
Someone once told me someone who plays Brawl does not deserve to be called a Smash Bros player.
Well, fuck that, I can play whatever the fuck I want and have fun with it and I am a Smash player.
