So you're saying that every time you plan an event at a hotel, you should check that it hasn't broken any fire code regulations and that the elevators have all been inspected recently and that it meets all earthquake building codes and that all their employees have had recent drug tests and have no criminal record and...would you like me to go on? yes you should check if the building is safe, thats not much work and its your event and you get people in danger if the place you host your event at isnt safe. we do it every time if we host a university event outside our buildings, even if we have a good working relationship with the place we host at. (and if we host bigger events we have the tüv checking if the event has a zero co² footprint). thats NORMAL,not booking the cheapest possible place from craigslist...
