Forums - Nintendo - Gold And Silver Mario Amiibo Appear To Be Coming

As if Amiibo weren’t hard enough to find, Nintendo has issued a certificate for two special Amiibo figures which are Gold Mario and Silver Mario. Whether these will be special prizes in the upcoming Club Nintendo revamp remains to be seen, but they’re certainly an item that a lot of people would want to get their hands on.

Just... Why? If you are gonna make alternate versions, make them be in like a cat suit or something, not make them gold/silver :/

Oh I'm sure Cat Suit Mario and Tanooki Mario and Cape Mario and Fire Flower Mario etc. etc. Amiibos will come eventually too, lol. Nintendo's gonna milk this concept like crazy.

They should do away with the transparent plastic boxes and make them fully cardboard and mix the silver and gold figures with the regular ones similar to yugioh cards. Nintendo would make billions.
