It's all quite clear that Nintendo isn't making these choices to shit on you. They are making these decisions because they believe they are the best choices to make the game good. In other words, the choice is not between a turd and a sandwich, but between a sandwich and a pizza.

An unintentional insult is still an insult. If someone serves me shit, but, honest to God, thought I'd like eating shit, it's still insulting. Ignorance isn't an excuse for insulting someone.

It is between a turd or a sandwich. Just because they they think you'll like the turd doesn't mean it's something other than a turd.

If you seriously think that a $60 online multiplayer shooter with just one online mode, one local multiplayer mode, and one singleplayer mode is not Nintendo serving you one tiny (let's not act like there's an abundance of anything here) turd on a giant silver platter, then you're clearly the one who needs their standards looked at.

Come to think of it Splatoon should be F2P.

It seems they tried ping but it didn't work as intended. The game would obviously be awesome if F2P, but Nintendo will only go f2p when it's not a thing anymore.

That's what I said!

$15-$20 for the single player. Everything else should be playable for free. The single player is basically just one big microtransaction you can buy after you download the game for free, and everything else follows a Team Fortress 2 price model.

But nope. $60 it is.

Also, most F2P games don't have a single-player mode. I was saying that Nintendo should have just made splatoon like league (no single-player) and made it F2P with awesome (in-game purchase) customizations. They have a great artistic team working on the game it would have been a perfect fit and they would have generated money off it.

I'm saying F2P from Nintendo's point of view, whereby they could make more money and get more people playing it.


I likened the price point to content ratio a turd. It wouldn't be a turd if it was F2P, it would be transformed into a nice little cookie in that instant.

No, I didn't. Mario Kart 8 has more modes than Splatoon in Single player, local multiplayer, and online multiplayer. Even is some are just reskins of other modes, Splatoon doesn't even to that much.
