That's a lie. Only Pirate Commandos lock the doors in echoes and you can kill them easily with charged dark beam shot and missile (yes even the dark pirate commandos).
I can kill 3 dark pirate commandos in 30 seconds. Chozo ghosts are far more annoying. Don't blame the game for your lack of knowledge on how to effectively kill enemies.
MP 1 is the most uninspired of the 3 btw. It's far from perfect.
| Samus Aran said: Don't blame the game if you're not good enough with it. Controls are not wonky. Metroid Prime 3 barely qualifies as a Metroid game. And the fact you like Metroid: Other M tells me all I need to know. You like games that don't recquire any sort of skill, just spam the hypermode or sensemove button... Spider Ball guardian is super easy, especially in the MP trilogy. MP3 has no exploration what so ever. You don't need energy tanks or missiles to easily beat the game anyway, so why bother looking for them. If you needed a guide for that then maybe Metroid isn't for you... The only legitimate complaint is the fetch quest near the end (I also used a guide for that because I couldn't be bothered, although the location is super easy, just remember where you found the dead keybearer bodies in the light world). |
Who the fuck said anything about controls? The fact that you bring up controls when I didn't say a word about them tells me all I need to know about you. No wait, everything in your entire posting history tells me everything I need to know about you. You're the asshat who said you don't want Star Fox to ever get a new game because Metroid deserves it more, even though Star Fox consistently outsold it, and as if they would both require the exact same studio.
"Spider Ball guardian is super easy, especially in the MP trilogy."
There are hundreds of threads from message boards back in the day from people disagreeing with you. And if you could comprehend the English you want so badly to fluently speak, you would see how the second half of your statement contradicts the first. When Rare ported the MPT to Wii, it purposely made the Spider Ball Guardian easier because a ton of people had a hard time and got frustrated as hell with it. For someone who is such a huge Metroid wanker, I would think you would remember that.
"MP3 has no exploration what so ever. You don't need energy tanks or missiles to easily beat the game anyway, so why bother looking for them."
Because it's part of the game. Metroid is about finding the things that aren't immediately visible to the naked eye. And maybe I have this thing called a life, that doesn't allow me to waste all of my time, all day every day playing a toy. Sometimes I want to play something else. Sometimes I don't want to play anything at all. Sometimes, I want to spend time with friends and family, or even this creature called a "girl." Bet your never heard of that. So are you telling me you just run through the game and shoot things without finding the hidden extras? Maybe Metroid isn't for you. Go play Call of Duty.
I'm so sick of wannabe know-it-alls like you thinking you're the expert on something just because you jack off to Samus every night in your lonely little piss stain of a bed. I have the right to enjoy Other M -or any other game for that matter- as much as I want to without need the approval of mouth breathers like you. I didn't even say I loved Other M; I said I enjoyed it more than Echoes. In other words, that's how much I did not enjoy Echoes.
Do me a favor and don't ever reply to any of my posts again. I have never liked you. I first put up with your bullshit because I know English isn't your first language and chalked it up to your poor grasp of it. Then I just figured you're an asshole who never had enough TLC growing up, so you act an ass in forums to get some form of attention. Now, I'm just sick of you and I've had enough of your keyboard warrior bravado. Guys like you used to hang out in arcades or at the comic store and run their mouths off to teenagers to correct them on how Aquaman could beat the entire Marvel universe or find someone willing to let them explain the entire plot from their Sailor Moon and DBZ crossover fanfic. Now that we have the modern Internet, we have to put up with those guys right here, and that would be you.
Mods, ban me if you have to, because the number of fucks I give right now are the same number of nuts this asshole who wants so badly to be a fictional video game woman has: zero.

The post that "summed up your thoughts perfectly" talked about wonky morph ball controls. I guess you didn't read his post? They didn't tweak the spider ball guardian boss, they just added the spring ball (which was a good update).

Why should I lie? It took me a lot of time to kill them and it found it tedious, also I believe you when you say you can kill those enemies in a short time, probably that's because you've played tha game a lot and you've learned to beat them fast. I can kill chozo ghosts pretty quickly, probably because I've played Prime1 a lot. I blame the game for not being fun enough to push me to learn how to kill quickly every enemy.
In general I think backtracking in Prime 2 was tedious (compared to Prime 1 and 3), because in generally it takes more time to take down enemies, it's too dispersive and slow, you are often forced to take obligatory longer routes since you have to switch between light/dark dimesions, while in Prime 1 different areas are more interconnected and you can choose the path you want. Anyway, we have different opinions, it's not the end of the world.
edit. I'll add in a game like Prime that's all about exploration the setting is also important. The settings of Prime1 are beatifull and much more varied, Prime 2 was all desertic or swampy, the only setting I really liked in Prime 2 was Sactuary Fortress.

Then try talking about that in a response to him, idiot. Or should I reply to his message to tell him how much sense you're not making?

Maybe not lie, but you're not remembering things correctly. I can't blame you for not knowing that a charged dark beam shot can freeze dark pirate commandos), but the dark beam is coded to freeze any humanoid enemies at once, even if they're possesed by the ing (which are normally weak to light beam). It only takes one missile after that to kill them. So it doesn't take that much skill really! I hope this can increase your enjoyment if you ever decide to play it again. But pirate commandos are the ONLY enemies in the game to lock doors and it doesn't happen too frequently. Although I understand your frustration if you didn't know about the dark beam strategy. You made it sound like it was as bad as in Metroid: Other M, so I just had to speak out on it. Sorry if I sounded rude, was not my intention.
Yes, there was lot's of backtracking, but that's what makes Metroid Metroid to me. I'm always curious to know what I can unlock in previous areas with newfound powers. So I backtrack a lot even if it is not required.
And yes, MP2 frustrated me a lot as well during my first playthrough, that's why I love it so much lol. Some games just become a lot more fun after multiple playthroughs, especially when you're sequence breaking. I usually skip the entire Agon Wastes section (I just get the necessary powerups) when I replay this game lol.

You can't argue with he who has no life. Clearly his life revolves around Metroid, and speaking anything ill of it is like speaking ill of his momma. This sums up him perfectly:

No problem. I it wasn't my intention to make it sound like Other M, actually I liked Prime 2 a lot .My comment was just meant to highlight what I liked less of Prime 2, compared to Prime 1 and 3.
I also like backtracking, a lot really. It's just that for the reasons I listed (and probably even for some other reasons I can't quite explain) I found the backtracking in Prime 2 not as enojoyable as it was supposed to be.

Yeah I feel like Prime 2 could have explained the effects of dark and light beam better. I had to restart a new file to remember the dark beam was basically the ice beam for Prime 2 (it even freezes metroids lol) and the light beam was kinda like the plasma beam in Prime 1&3 with its burning effects. Game should have also told us that destroying crates and enemy pods will reward light/dark ammo if you used the opposite ammo. If i remember it correctly, the message it gave on obtaining ammo only mentioned destroying enemies. Fortunately, there's almost always a dark/light ammo in crates/enemies pod when you destroy them this way. IMO, it made the requirement to destroy things with opposite ammo pretty pointless and gimmicky, but I guess it was necessary for RNG control.
