Prime >> Prime 3 > Prime 2
Prime was perfect.
Prime 3 was a bit too linear and in some parts it was a bit uninspired.
Prime 2 also felt at parts uninspired, plus it was too much dispersive and the fact you had to kill all enemies evrerytime in many areas (in order to unlock doors) made backtracking a pain in the ass.
Each game is great, but undoubtedly Prime2 is the one I liked the least.

That's a lie. Only Pirate Commandos lock the doors in echoes and you can kill them easily with charged dark beam shot and missile (yes even the dark pirate commandos).

I can kill  3 dark pirate commandos in 30 seconds. Chozo ghosts are far more annoying. Don't blame the game for your lack of knowledge on how to effectively kill enemies.

MP 1 is the most uninspired of the 3 btw. It's far from perfect.

Why should I lie? It took me a lot of time to kill them and it found it tedious, also I believe you when you say you can kill those enemies in a short time, probably that's because you've played tha game a lot and you've learned to beat them fast. I can kill chozo ghosts pretty quickly, probably because I've played Prime1 a lot. I blame the game for not being fun enough to push me to learn how to kill quickly every enemy.

In general I think backtracking in Prime 2 was tedious (compared to Prime 1 and 3), because in generally it takes more time to take down enemies, it's too dispersive and slow, you are often forced to take obligatory longer routes since you have to switch between light/dark dimesions, while in Prime 1 different areas are more interconnected and you can choose the path you want. Anyway, we have different opinions, it's not the end of the world.

edit. I'll add in a game like Prime that's all about exploration the setting is also important. The settings of Prime1 are beatifull and much more varied, Prime 2 was all desertic or swampy, the only setting I really liked in Prime 2 was Sactuary Fortress.
