This was a good decision.SOE has not be very successful lately. It's funny how all of a sudden people act as if SOE were so great and profitable when people hated on DC Universe and their recent games.

If this picture is correct, they have between 501-1000 employees. That would mean Sony will save quite something on saleries also

SCE is profitable not SOE.This was a smart decision and now they can focus all their attention on the PlayStation 4.Companies sell and close studios all the time.It has nothing to do with fonancial trouble.Games like Uncharted and God of War have made more profit than SOE.
They probably sold it as they fo need the money also its another cost of personnel gone. I don't think Sony are I trouble they are just cutting off the excess to focus on the ps4. I can seem them still selling off more parts of the business. But I don't see them selling off more gaming divisions, if the do then we know they are in real financial trouble

They had an employee count of 500-1000 people. They must have been Sony's most expensive game studio. I bet they were a giant moneysink.
Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

According to this report by Gamasutra from July 22nd 2014 the average developer in the U.S. makes $83,060 a year. Even if you make that $70,000 and use the 501 employee count that's already $35,070,000 a year in just salaries.
I guess this meant no one wanted to buy thier mobile division, so Sony sold the next best thing. Lol!
But seriously, I thought SOE was making money for Sony does this mean its in the red?

Omg I had a big reply written out for you and I clicked off the page. Basically sony sold their square Enix stake a few years back and it was making them money. Business works very different to how you perceive.
