Glad to see The Order holding well. I'm seriously enjoying this game, much more than most games that I purchased within the 6-12 months. Just a shame that I'm in Chapter 9 and it will be ending soon.

I loved Destiny as well, and that game too received lots of negative criticism.

I love Destiny (Yes, it has many flaws.) and usually concur with your sentiments, so I think I'm going to have play The Order.

The great irony of the negative criticisms directed at The Order and Destiny is how much they reveal the contradictory nature of individuals who are looking for negative aspects. The Order was slammed for being too much story and too little gameplay, and Destiny was slammed for being too little story and too much gameplay. These aspects were so overemphasized that people gave them hyperbolic negative reviews (Many 0s on meta and Amazon), but no one justifiably reacted and said, "This story is amazing makes it props up the weaknesses" or "The sheer hours of gameplay you get out of the game more than makes the weak story palatable." My 850 hours+ of Destiny played make me realize that I'd have to be an ungrateful bastard not to realize that I have gotten tremendous balue out of the game, regardless of the story.

Well there is importance in ballance.

And Destiny was criticized for lack of content; it was literally repetative.  As in you repeat the same content over and over.  Without the online, it would literally be an endless "new game plus" cycle, basically.  Sans what little story there is.  That's worth criticizing.

I have not played The Order, but there is missed opportunity when you go too far into the cinematic route.  And again, that warrants criticism. I have an issue with the fact that people seem to be implying that "achieved vission"=high score worthy.  And it doesn't.

Some people like cinematic games.  I don't want most games to be like the order but it will be a sad day when they die out.

Just be sure to go into it expecting it to not be like TLOU or Uncharted.

You will find gameplay, with some sections lasting a good while, but it won't be what you may normally be a acustomed to. Go in with an open mind.

I would suggest buying it to support the devs, even discounted priced, it all helps. If not then rent it as you could finish it within a weekend. I plan to finish it tonight. I will also likely play it again for the platinum and play with the DLC it came with. I think I have an extra weapon and some clothing.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Saying that there are some fanboys giving angry reviews on metacritic and amazon for the sake of it is one thing, but you seemed to be implying that the game has been conspired against by the majority of the industry (youtubers, media outlets, industry veterans) cause it's associated with Sony.  That concpiracy mindset is demonstrably false.

You think they dont get am extra amount of hate,  those Jaded industy vets youtubers media are all moslty fools who at the end of the day get payed better for negativity then good.  By the way a conspiracy is a plan by a group of people.  So no lol.

So it's Sony?  Then what's with the scores for Assassin's Creed Unity, which was associated with MS and Xbox?  What's with the Evolve scores, again associated with MS, that are around the Destiny level, which was associated with Sony?  What about the Project Spark scores?  What about the Ryse scores?  And what's up with that Infamous Second Son score which is 80, which is a solid score?  Or that Last of US Remastered score of 95?  Or the FFXIV: ARR for PS4 which has an 86?  Resogun has an 84 on PS4, what's up with that?  And comparing PS4 and Xbox One, the Xbone has zero exclussives with a 90+ meta.  Oh and how about Killer Instinct?  I guess those bitter media fools and youtubers and vets didn't check the box to see which platform it was on.

There's no descrimination here.  And your (and others') use of ad hominem attacks at the general industry as a means of invalidating criticisms of a company you happen to like is what really shows *your* true colors. I've never seen so much blind bashing on both sides of a game.  You can hate on the haters if you want, but when you go as far as to say "all the people being critical are biased and their words mean nothing," you are 100% just as bad.

Wow, The Order is currently #13. Looks like I was wrong when I said that the game will fall out of the Top 20 later today.

I didn't realise XB one had an even better value AC bundle. Wolfenstein PLUS and extra controller is a very sweet deal for $349. Giving away another 3rd party multiplat game as well as giving away a controller for $50 less than PS4 is really putting the challenge out there. TBH I'm surprised this hasn't put Xb one ahead of PS4 in the hourlies. Is this an Amazon deal or is it available through all retailers. If it's an all retailers thing then this could put the cat among the NPD vs Amazon pigeons.

I was wondering why this time, the X1 wasn't seesawing. But holy crap, is that one heck of a bundle!!
