Yep discontinueing the ps3 would be silly. It's going to sell another 6 or 7 million easily. Software sales are still huge too.

Just because it's logical doesn't mean I have to like it :P

But at least a lot of big devs are moving on and dropping support.  That's what is more important as it means games will take advantage of the more powerful systems better.  Well should.

Around the Network

#11 PS4
#12 PSTV + Dualshock 3 (surprised that it's still in the Top 20)
#13 The Order: 1886 (will likely be in the Top 10 by launch)
#24 XB1
#63 The Order: 1886 Collector's Edition
#75 Wii U
#81 PS3

What the gamer wants and what the company needs are two different things.

The Order number 10 only behind a bunch of cards and far cry on sale.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

In the case of Sony this is definitely true.

Apparently, some stores broke the street date and certain people already got the game...
