Hmmm... doesn't seem to work. I was actually wondering how to access the rankings from the site itself, not a link. Can anyone help?

Ooh, The Order: 1886 is about to crack the Top 20. Evolve is finally ranking higher and interestingly, the PS4 version is a dozen places ahead of the X1 version.

This should reflect on the NPD; even though Microsoft has the exclusitivity deal. It would be interesting to see if Evolve on the PS4 outsells the Xbox One.

Yes they were correct- http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/2013-12/videogames/ref=zg_bs_tab_t_bsar

It does pay to check these things, because memory is a cruel mistress some times. It was November that Amazon got quite wrong, it had 360>Vita>Xb one>PS3 with PS4 not even in the top 100 for the month. http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/2013-11/videogames/ref=zg_bs_tab_t_bsar#1

Well it was launch month with only about 2 weeks of sales. The bulk of the purchases probably came from midnight openings and in store over those weeks. As for last generation, i don't know what's different about this gen that makes Amazon more reliable. Maybe it's because online purchases have gotten bigger. Especially Amazon who's basically it's own large retailer.

A few years back mentioning Amazon and video game sales was considered the height of ignorance. Clubbing baby seals was the usual comeback to statements like "sales on Amazone are...". It was only after about March or April 2014 when the pattern was clearly showing Amazon as a very reliable predictor of hardware rankings for NPD (more reliable than VG Chartz) that people started to accept that Amazon did provide some useful predictive information.

Part of that has been Amazon's huge marketshare growth relative to the brick and mortar retailers. At the start of last gen Amazon had a tiny sliver of the overall entertainment market, but both as Amazon has grown and e-commerce has grown bigger and bigger, now Amazon's sales reflect a larger and larger section of the market and therefore the performance of consoles at Amazon is more representative of the total market than it was last gen. According to https://nrf.com/news/top-100-retailers , Amazon only broke into the top ten retailers last year. If their growth and the growth of e-commerce in general continues to grow then the Amazon sales rankings will continue to improve as a indicator for overall market direction.

The VGC buddy works in all sorts of mysterious ways. Don't think you can really take an awful lot from it.

It wanna feed on my dissapointment!

Happy now?  ;)

The Order is now #19, sweet. The box art for that game, like everything else for the game really, is beautiful. I hope reviewers review this like they're supposed to, put all their bias aside.

It could go either way. Either the gaming media remains highly skeptical and still sees the game through the underwhelming lense of most of what we saw in 2014, and...

...this will make them treat the game harshly because they will set a high threshold for the game to impress them

or

...they will have low expectations and their expectations will be exceeded and most will give the game positive reviews

But lack of online multiplayer will be a minus for almost all reviewers, except Yahtzee.

Great for it to break into the top 20.

These reviews are making the PS4 look a lot worse than it actually is in terms of quality games. Driveclub is great, I liked Knack and everyone I've had over to play it fell in love with it, I'm positive I will love The Order regardless of reviews and I bet almost everyone that plays it will also love it. I hope it scores an 80 or above on metacritic.

Evolve up quite a bit. PS4 version at 24, 2 places below The Order (22). XBOne version at 34.

This is just sad that MS paid for the exclusive promotion and bundle for game that won't sell much, but will sell better on the PS4 without a bundle. Why did they bother?

Not surprising as I bought my PS4 from Amazon when they were hard to find and buy a lot of games from them too.
