I dont understand the scrutiny. Last year, i'm pretty sure Xbox owners would have had the most satisfaction out of their games. Great new offerings across the board.

SO was my personal GOTY, I enjoy games regardless of who makes them. I give MS credit for having these games, I'm just wondering when we'll see a big new IP from them that is made by their studios. This has nothing to do with how I feel about their lineup, which imo is better than the other two.

the 2015 version of Excel.

I'm guessing that people are forgetting that Ori and the Blind Forest is a new MS IP and it will come out on Mach 11th.

Moon Studios is an independent studio. Game looks awesome though.

Put together by MS.

Its common knowledge now (and almost painfully so more recently) that Black Tusk's new IP was scrapped. They have to buy third party and pay for second party commissions. Even Killer Instinct to a larger extent is great thanks to the developmental skills of workers outside of MS. Its been three generations now and they still cannot nail first party development for AAA titles. I cant argue with them when they give the reigns to third party.

Nah...thats a sequel. Perhaps an ad blocker for their new browser would be seen as a new IP from Microsoft.

Maybe they`ll make one eventually, but usually they rely on 3rd parties and their usual 1st parties. MS is not really the one to experiment with new ideas.

We all know where the clones are. Nintendo clones especially.

Why would you argue?
Most likely the development cost are kept low, no contract with dead weight teams and different methods of work are used to distinguish IPs from inhouse's.
