That isn't relevant at this point. You're saying that with the Wii U beating the PS3 in the weekly charts, it will still manage to sell 14m while the Wii U won't manage 11m. That's just not logical, especially when the PS3 has nothing left that can sell it and it's declining heavily YoY due to the PS4.
It will break 90million, maybe 95million.
Im pretty sure it will NOT go over 100million units sold.
So no, it wont sell more than the Wii.

XBOX total shipment: 1.6 million.
You say that XBO was overshipped last year, and not only, XBO is down YOY in the US. Confirmed by NPD.
So, is pretty sure that XBO have ship less than las year. Last year XBO ship 1,200,000.
So, XBO probabily ship 1,100,000 this quarter, that mean 500,000 XB360. Or, in the worst scenario, XBO equal to last year (unluky) and XB360 at 400,000.

You say that PS3 have nearly sold as XB360 in the US this January... yes, this january. Do you know what was January NPD of 2014?
PS3: 54,000
XB360: 48,000
So, last year PS3 have BEAT the XB360 in the US during January. And not only last january. look all January NPD. January is a strong month for PS. But by February, XB360 back to dominate all time...
But the fact is this:
PS3: 35,000 in 2015 (down by 35% compared to last year) 54,000 -------> 35,000
XB360: 40,000 in 2015 (down by 10% compared to last year) 48,000 ---> 40,000
XB360 have better legs than the PS3. you have already see.
in the shipment, is pretty sure that last holiday XB360 have litterally disintegrate PS3... 2:1 if not more.
Even Jan to Mar, XB360 beat PS3 in shipment.

The PS4 succes is eating all PS3 sales, and will help XB360 to become after the non-Nintendo console best succes of last gen.
So, yeah... PS3 will be lucky if will beat the XB360. Beat the Wii? a big no, i see more probabily XB360 to beat the Wii, and still super unlucky.
If it sells like it has been for another decade or so, yeah it'll beat Wii. Sony has always stated that it's about enduring the marathon, not just running out the gate.

Why isn't it relevant? Longer life = more sales
And who is saying that in the weekly charts Wii U sales > PS3 sales? PS3 have beaten Wii U in 2014 and will beat Wii U in 2015 too (though PS3 is 10 years old)!

Well, as MS shows no confidence to tell us actual shipments of each it also gives me more sure it's underperforming, but we won't know the numbers because of this, so at least don't go saying PS3 is third with no proofand giving auch a large gap out of nowhere with no reasonable back up. |

Nope, we know that PS3 IN JANUARY have sold more than the XB360, but we talk about the Jan to Mar sales.
As i say, January is strong for PlayStation, PS3 in Jan 2008 have beat XB360, like in January of last year. (NPD sales)
but what is february for XB360?
Last year, XB360 have sold 48,000 in January, and 114,000 in February, +150% boost jan to feb.
Assuming that XB360 have sold 40,000, another +150% boost in February can make 100,000 sold in February NPD (more than how much have sold PS3 in Jan + Feb + Mar in JP) ...
For be fast, the XB360 shipment continue to pass the PS3 shipment. if PS3 sell more than XB360, we will see PS3 above XB360 in shipment for the next quarter of this year... IF PS3 will starting to ship more, you right, if not, we can say that XB360 is selling more.
At this point, I doubt it.

how are you getting total ps3 shipments when we dont have the data since sony combined ps3 and vita shipments a few yrs ago
