Im thinking its going to be up YoY Q1 (what we are currently in), as for Q2 it depends on SW input+potential price cut. but most likely it'll be down that quarter.

We are currently in Q4 of the Fiscal Year Ending March 31, 2015.  I am curious as to why you think sales will be up YoY, as I don't see any system sellers this quarter to boost sales.  The following quarter, Q1/FY2016, will most likely be down YoY as well, since last year the sales were high due to the release of Mario Kart.

Jan-Mar 2015: ???k Shipped has MP10 and will have a little stronger early sales from 2014 holiday (going by US of course)

I think shipments will be better here^ Not by alot, but a small amount.

 

As for Q2 (Q1 for FY) Yes last year had MK8, i get that but we dont know everything yet for Apr-June. I said most likely it'll be down, but its not set in stone. If Yoshi Wolly World/MM/Splatoon and maybe like 1 more game mid level game comes out, i think It has a chance of being up, Even japan has XCX for the quarter

So you agree, good job. Not sure what PS4 has to do with any of this?

i'll be sure not to in the future... all i was saying is it's not some major overtracking, as some people are suggesting, of over 1m. it will reach 50m first day to week of new 3ds availability.

it is about 1m tho.

It is possible some Q1 titles could shift into Q2.  None of them are system sellers in my opinion (we've already had 2 big Mario platformers).  We may get StarFox in Q3 and Zelda in Q4.

Umm, no, the vast majority of sales have not been in Japan.  Japan hasn't even had a slim majority of sales.  Throughout it's life the 3DS has shipped 37% of its units to Japan.  So why do you think around 80% of unsold supply being in Japan is reasonable?

Yes the overtracking was likely over 1m before the shipment numbers came out (they've been adjusted slightly already).  Even if you think there is zero supply on shelves outside of Japan we are talking about around 600k overtracked.
