I was initially intrigued by this game and I love the art style, but something is just not sitting right with me about this game. I love space combat sims (X-Wing series and Freespace), but this doesn't seem to really be about that. I dunno. I am waiting to see and read reviews about this game before getting it.

I'm more interested on how the game works with online, does this play like dark souls or more like an MMO or can it be played offline. Not sure if it was mentioned before.

As it stands now, this game is a singleplayer game with a miniscule possibility that you could happen upon another player. I'm not accusing you of this but I'm seeing more and more people asking this same question NOT because they don't know the answer but because they want to draw negative attention to it. I saw the same thing with Driveclub over at Gaf recently when someone started a thread called: 'Driveclub doesn't have splitscreen ... really?' It's well known now but clearly the guy who started the thread just wanted to stir the mud. Like I said, I'm not accusing you of doing this I'm just noting trends and wouldn't mind betting this will be the go to argument for those who want to knock it.

I'm just gonna be clear with you, I'm in no way making a negative assumption about the game, I understand where your coming from but since the modern gaming arrived, I have been dissapointed by a lot of games that have come out lately though not to the point that I'd quit gaming( I love gaming!), it just made me more cautious of what to expect from the game, I'm not the kind of person that just drop the game because" oh no! no splitscreen from Driveclub. . this sucks!" I'm the kind of person that feels "hmm no splitscreen for driveclub . . too bad. . still playing though" but anyway, my question of the game is legit, I just want to know that the game will fulfill my enjoyment. Please don't take this personaly, I just want to clear, I'm not that guy. :D

Yes, I fugured that. That's why I went to great pains in pointing out I'm not aiming it at you personally.

And I went to great pains for others who might think otherwise :D, but like I said, I understand where your coming from.

On a Nintendo console? Yes. On other consoles? Hell no!

This is an indie game, realism that looks good takes up a lot of resources.

There are a ton of indie games that have been coming out in the last couple of years. Check on Steam. There are so many games that have 8 and 16-bit "retro" looks, and artsy feel. Take Minecraft for example. That game looks like crap, but yet with one resource pack, and one shader pack I can get a realistic look to the whole thing. Guess how much money that cost? Zero dollars. Someone made the shaders and the texture packs in their spare time, and they sold it for zero dollars. Explain to me how an indie developer can't do that, but Joe Shmoe, who has his own job, can.

Because on console that would cost money:s.   All the minecraft themes/skins on consoles cost money.

From what I read, there is no DLC. Realistic grapthics isn't wise with a game of this size with that small of a team.

And that is kind of my point. Minecraft is a huge open-world sandbox, just like No Man's Sky. No Man's Sky is bigger, but those graphics for the entire galaxy/universe of No Man's Sky aren't all being processed at once. They processed when they come into the field of vision, just like Minecraft. If Joe Shmoe can make realistic shaders/texture packs while still maintaining his job/family/etc, why can't the person in charge of graphics/design on this six man team do that when that is his entire job? I would prefer the answer to be, "They can do it. They just like this look better." I can understand that, even though I personally hate the look of it. I'm not the one making the game, and they can make it how they like. I just don't really want to play this game because I want people to stop making games that have this look/feel/style/design. Does that make sense? Again, what they've done is impressive. I just hate the style.

I can understand that you don't like the style of the graphics. I would still wait and see to how the finished game looks and what the features will be. There could be things that offset the graphics.

Edited for grammar.

I can accept this. :)
