Forums - Gaming - Should I get these games?

Bioshock 1, 2, and Final Fantasy 13-2.

I play lots of fighting games.  I like fighting games most of all.  But I generally like any sort of game, granted it's actually good.  I hate first person shooters.  But, I love Bioshock: Infinite.  Killzone 3, I thought was just okay, and CoD?... No, never.

I also hate Assassin's Creed 3.  Somehow, I was dumb enough to buy two of them.  III, and Liberation on PS Vita.  And the PS3 game was the complete edition with all the game's DLC...  Let-down...

My only experience with a final fantasy game, was the demo of FF7, on PS1...  I'm not sure how old I was, but, boy did I hate that demo, and it left a sour taste in my mouth ever since.  I never bought another after that.  But, after sooo many years later, I'm willing to give it another chance....

I do not like the story, from what I've heard, about trying to solve paradoxes and change events in the future which effect the past, BS, because that is improbable.  No such thing as paradoxes and changes in the future/past have no effect on the present.  But, that's a common theme with story telling these days, so I gotta let that go.  But the story wont be getting any praise from me, that's for sure.

I also have bioshock on Steam... i either got it for free... or a dollar, i don't remember which.  But, i had trouble setting up a controller, so I said forget it, and never touched it again.  I really don't like how stupidly difficult it is to set-up controls on steam.

However.  Giving you a list of games that I like is really no good.  I don't like FPS, yet I like Bioshock Infinite.  I don't like Final Fantasy, but I do play other RPG games and like them, like Wild Arms 1, 2, Ni No Kuni, and a few others.

Are these games worth it at 20 bucks?  I know there's the 10% off discount, but it's so minor...  Should I wait?  Getting all three games would save me a total of 2 whole dollars (whoopdie-doo).  But buying it now gets it earlier...  And, I kinda did just buy Resident Evil Remake and haven't done enough to justify using a single ink ribbon, so there's that.... Decisions, decisions....

Bioshock 1 and 2 are awesome!
I definitely recommend them.

Um, Bioshock is easily one of the greatest games ever made. A must play. The sequel is nowhere near as good, but thanks to the God tier foundation the original laid out, even a bad Bioshock game is still better than 90% of other games.

Idk about FFXIVIIX-2

Dunno about Bioshock, I haven't played it either. No way should you play FF 13-2 though. If you want to give FF another try you'd be much better of going for the original FF13 (it's a better game and you'll see the story from the beginning, aslo no paradoxes in the original). Although I'd recommend FFX/X2 HD over FF13 still.

I heard FF132 was better than FF13.  It's been marked down to 10 bucks, that's why I considered it in the first place.

I don't like FPS much, but I loved Bioshock Infinite. After it, I went to play Bioshock, and gave up after barely an hour. Not commenting on the story, it is just a simple corridor shooter, and no way I was going to waste 10+ hours on going through.tight walkways and shooting at stuff.

The only good Assassin's Creed is part 2. Maybe try that one. AC3 is the worst, no wonder you hated it.

Can't help with Final Fantasy, never played any.

So, what you guys are saying is that I shouldn't get any of those three games?

Definitely get the Bioshocks.

I really like FPS games and thought Bioshock was mediocre, I couldn't even push myself to finish it after multiple attempts. You liked Bioshock: Infinite though, so it might be up your alley.

Or it could be that bioshock infintite fixed problems that the previous games had.  I don't want to go back to either of them if that's the case, so they might not be up my alley......  That's the whole point of asking questions.  I could have came to that conclusion on my own.

I wouldn't recommend any of em, but in regards to Bioshock I'm in the minority there.
