Tough call, I still need a few more months to decide if I like Smash 4 more than Melee or if it's just new game hype. I'm pretty sure I liked Brawl more than Melee when it first came out and then quickly grew to disliking it, but overall I would say my experience with Smash 4 is getting better as time goes on.

From what I've seen, most people, including competitive players are overall happy with Smash Wii U, but there are still some "Melee elitists" out there who pretty much can never be pleased, unless they make another Smash game EXACTLY like Melee.

Oh, but you're wrong. If they ever made another game EXACTLY like Melee, which is what all of these elitists supposedly want, they'll start saying it's not as good as Melee and Nintendo will never be able to make another game as good as that.

But thankfully this is a minority.

Yeah, if this was a majority of the community, competitive Smash would probably be dead already.

Well, there are actually a few big competitive players that really have no faith in the game like Leffen, but I've always found that he comes off as a bit of a jerk.  Most people though that I see are either in Smash 4 is great so don't bash it or it's not like Melee or PM so it can't be competitive.  I wish that more people saw it as it's own installment since noone compared Smash 64 to Melee when it came out.  At least there are some big Smash players like HBox, M2K and even Armada who are giving the game a chance.

Although if we can all agree it's that Diddy needs a nerf :D

Well yeah, like you just said, Leffen is just one of a few. I'm just saying that if the majority of the community was filled with closed minded people that act very disrespectful, the community wouldn't have gone anywhere.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

64 and Melee.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

Each game has unique traits and nostalgic experiences that I liked about them, but overall I'll just give it to Smash 4!

I gotta go with Melee sadly. As much as I love Smash Wii U, Melee just seemed to have better fighting and it was a lot more fun to play the single player. Unlocking everyone in Melee and all the stages was a blast where as in Wii U its way too easy. I hated Brawl though so im glad Smash Wii U is waaaay better than that mess.

As much as I like Smash WiiU, I have to give this to Melee! It simply has the best gameplay!

i'm going to go ahead and say 3ds because no-one else did. that is the smash bros. i've played most by far. several hundred hours and counting.

The best one is definitely Super Smash Bros U. They keep improving in terms of characters, stages and so on. Plus, the graphics keep getting better. If I could only play one of them today, SSBU all the way.

With that said, the gameplay has stayed the same for the most part within all the games. The smash ball being the main added feature.

So, while it's the best game in the series, it really isn't my favorite for it's time if that makes sense. At the time of release, Brawl was my favorite. Back in 2008, Brawl was awesome

How are so many people saying Melee? I love it too but it is so broken and unbalanced compared to the Wii U, which has a better roster, better stages, and more features that make it so fun. I guess it's nostalgia.
