They seem to have designed this OS thinking tablets not desktops. -_-

I hope it is the second. Like Office 365 where you can just subscribe to it and have a bunch of licence you can use and upgrade to the new version automatically when it comes out. If they can do that like Office 365, it would be awesome (with a nice pricing of course
).
With Office 365 I have 5 licences of Office (latest version) for PC/Mac + 5 versions for Tablets for me and 4 family members. I can install them, uninstall them whenever I want for 99$ a year.
Will be interesting to see if my Lumia 925 still gets an update. Really like Windows on the phone.

Oh god please no. I don't want to buy somethine like a Surface Pro and be tied to a $99/sub just to use it.
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
Currently playing:
Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

True, but for the next few years Xbox One should be able to play PC games on medium-low settings, and MS culd implement a PC streaming service for playing the more demanding games later in the generation, the games run on high end PC's at a MS center and are streamed to your Xbox One, hopefully in the next few years game streaming latency will drop considerably. |
That sounds like the best option to keep up with later games, but sounds like a lot investment from MS, and even if they did it ,think about the bandwidth needed to stream that kind of games!
I doubt the average user will have that kind of connection.A more conservative approach would be getting an optimized driver from AMD, one specifically made for the GPU in the XB1, also game developers could optimize games for the hardware build inside the console.Unfortunately I doubt any of them would happen.
Anyways we still have to see if the feature is added, so it might be wise to reserve this conversation for later.

Well lol yah you are right after thinkinh about it a subscription model the way I decribed it would not work...
I just would love to have a way to do: MS take my WhatEverAmountPerYear$ and then I do not care about my Windows licences/upgrades on all of my devices. Not sure how they can do that on the practical way tho
