The announcement of a digital version of the Metroid prime trilogy has positively impacted on the price of the physical version. The lowest amazon uk marketplace price has plummeted from 85 pounds ($130) to 52 pounds ($80) and so i have now ordered a copy for myself (all be it used but the condition is described as very good). Now you must be thinking just get the digital copy for peanuts in a couple of weeks you fool! well i tell you that i can't because i have the white 8gb wii u and with what little space i have left is reserved for the second mario kart 8 dlc pack and i will never buy an external hardrive again because they are so unreliable (i bought one before and it died within 2 months). Also with my username being metroid you would think that i would have bought the trilogy back in 2009. Well i got MP3 corruption on the day of its release and I've always been fine with MP & MP2 echoes on the gamecube, but because of the wii u only playing wii games the gamecube versions can't be played unless i unpack my old gc or wii and even then they look bad on my hd tv. So the only option is to buy the MP trilogy at an inflated price for convinience and also because wii games look great when played on wii u. BTW just to prove that i love these games i've completed MP 16 times MP2echoes 5 times & MP3 corruption 6 times.

Yea the retail prices for games like Metroid Prime trilogy are/were a joke. I hope when Xenoblade gets released on the n3ds, those prices will go down too

I bet you could have gotten it for even cheaper if you waited another few weeks too!

I own all 3 games but not the trilogy. I'll most likely download it for the $10 in the first week just for the convenience factor.
