I'm aware of these comments, but could be easily Miiverse interaction and that's it. I'm optimistic though. 



My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

Miiverse isn't "online play in a seamless open world." You don't "play" miiverse.

Plus, there are literally screenshots with other players, and online chat screens. Online was confirmed on the first day this game was announced two years ago.

Still not confirmed though. It's ok if it's technically confirmed, but I won't believe until I see it.

Love the idea, sadly don't have friends with Wii U, they're mostly PC gamers.

The first three trailers all show online multiplayer. We've all seen who the main characters of the plot are. None of the characters fighting in those trailers match the ones we've seen that are relevant to the plot, and there are chat logs where they talk to each other in casual text.

They've shown online through gameplay, screenshots, and they've verbally confirmed it twice. Anyone who thinks online multiplayer isn't confirmed and hasn't been since day one is lying to themselves.

There's a reason open world games don't have split screen. Same with TV vs Gamepad. The performance takes a huge hit that would be infinitely worse in a massive open world. If Hyrule Warriors can barely handle it, Xenoblade definitely can't. Not to mention the fact that the gamepad has functional requirement.
