Vita TV is $99 standalone, $129 with a controller, memory card and game.
I imagine this device would be $99 with all those things included.

Maybe a 3DS player for 50 bucks that plugs into the Wii U, which is what the Game Boy Player cost back in the day. Can't remember how much the Super Game Boy cost. I think it would be a cool enough idea, because I liked the Super Game Boy, Game Boy Player, and my new Vita TV.
Would i buy it if it came out now? absolutely not
Would i have bought it if it was the only choice from the begining instead of 3DS? most likely not
