It would have just been better to buy the Wii U. If you were waiting for a price drop, that sucks because buying the Wii would be just as expensive as buying a Wii U bundle that was $300 with two games included.(As in, once the price goes down on the Wii U, you will have still spent the same initial 300$ or so due to buying the Wii) But your choice. I am glad Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn is on your list though! That game is phenomenal!

i play wii games on wii u through the hdmi cable on my 26 inch tv and all the games look noticeably better, smg 1 & 2 look amazing and even blurry looking games like skyward sword now look quite clean.

I think it would depend on what you are used to as well as how you play games.

I haven't played the GC version of Prime & Prime 2 so I can't give specifics but it does control well on the Wii... the interface for switching beams/visors feels a little odd at first, probably because I was used to Corruption where you can't switch beam (upgrades simply stack on top of each other) but otherwise it feels very similar to Corruption, which is arguably the best controlling FPS on Wii. (The Conduit can be customised to such a degree that it is probably the best, but somehow Nintendo seems to get the controls in most of their games to feel perfect without making you customise them)

The main thing with using Wii pointer controls versus dual-analogue for shooting games is that you have some way to steady your wrist, and in particular so that your 'at-rest' position has the pointer in the middle of the screen.
