Not positive but it was probably either the simpsons or teenage mutant ninja turtles arcade games.
Donkey Kong Country, Super Mario World, Twisted Metal 2, or Syphon Filter 2. It was a long time ago, I know Syphon Filter 2 was the first I was like 'holy shit I just beat that'.
Captain Commando in the arcades. I had to continue in the last stage and the final boss *cough*cheapbastard*cough* because it was the last day of summer holidays and we wouldn't get a chance to play together again.
Sonic The Hedgehog on Sega Master System.
Trojan on the NES. It had one of the best endings too, when game endings were unusually along the lines of "Congratulation" and roll credits.
Wave Race 64! I got it and SM64 for my N64. As they were my only two games, a lot of Wave Race was played.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is the first game I remembered beating but Super Mario World is probably the first game I beat.
