I think this applies to pretty much everyone. We've all had one gaming console that we would go to a friend's house to play and wish we had it ourselves, but we never did. For me, that was the GameCube. I grew up as PlayStation child, and I loved my PS2, but something about the GameCube intruiged me. It had a wonderful library, and as a kid, the game that stuck with me was Super Mario Sunshine. I remember going to the doctor's and playing this game with the GameCube in the waiting room and remembering it was unlike anything I'd ever played before.

Today, I still feel the same way about the GameCube. Except now, the game that I desire most for it is Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, which looks to be one of the most fun RPGs I've ever seen. One day I will quit being lazy and I'll track down a GameCube on eBay or something to play this game (too bad it goes for $85 on Amazon now).

What console and game associated with it have you always been fascinated with but never really got a chance to try out?

I don't think I have one. I'm happy with the consoles I've owned. As for games there's too many to list

Nes/Genesis. I was still a sperm back then T_T

NeoGeo AES. I would love to have one and an entire collection to play arcade perfect ports at home but a single game costs hundreds to thousands of dollars, so that ain't happening anytime soon.

TurboGraphx 16 is also a fascinating console, it's such a adorable tiny little console caught between the Genesis and SNES and as a result only really saw success in Japan. It has a lot of cool games on it and it's relatively cheap so I definitely wan to pick one up sometime soon.

Color TV Game 6/15 since it's basically Nintendo's very first home console.

Also, it's a pong machine, and pong is cool.

Gamecube for sure

A NES. I grew up with only the SNES andI think that it would have been nice to play through some of those games on Christmas day.  I only managed to get one recently off of Ebay.

xbox due to knights of the old republic, halo 1 and 2, battlefront 1 and 2, etc.

NEVER. I grew up in a big fam so we had all consoles in my house :D

Now I buy what I want. So if I don't want it I don't buy it. Simples.

Every console before the seventh gen, really. Never had much money in house, so my gaming time was either at friend's houses or at my uncle's. The one I desired most was probably the Gamecube for Super Smash Bros Melee and the Ps2 for Metal Gear Solid 2.
