anything to do with sexual preferences goes down like this
I get that it weirds people out, and I couldn't imagine myself in that situation, but I don't feel I or anyone else can judge so long as no one is being hurt by this. That said, there is a point to be made about power dynamics, so if there were any objective reason to object to this, it'd be that, not the incest itself. It's rather refreshing to see so many on this forum choose not to judge lifestyles based solely on the fact that they don't appeal to them, however.

Well it said in the interview that she got bullied about her weight and appearance.. Beggars cant be choosers. Morally i still think it is unsuitable, but humans are from my knowledge the only species who is selective when i comes to incest.
If they had never met until 17/18, i could sort of give tem the benefit of the doubt because they are strangers. But given he did see her as a child and loved as a child... its just sick. Its your baby girl man... how could you do that?
It sounds she was pretty forward about it though. Reading the whole interview it sounds like she did it to evade the hell she had at home.

While that is true, we don't stop people with disabilities from having children, even though the likelyhood of having children with disabilities is vastly increased. This should be a decision for the parents to make, not the law... PS: I think most people who aren't condemning incest here are mostly saying that the law shouldn't get involved. There are obviously cases where this would be immoral and I don't personally know enough about this particular case to make that judgement. However, it is not the law's job to police morals... |
Law can be annoying when it intrudes on life but when it intrudes on a case of incest it is 100% justified in my eyes. The reason being is because that is the courts job is to bind people to law for the greater good and continuity of our species. This is why the court system (very corrupt system at times) was put in place was for reasons such as this. It's just not biologically healthy for humanity to perform incest and I know the general world would never appeal to such a deforming act.
But I'm not sure if people with disablilities have a higher tendency to pass on their disabilities to their children (it would make sense I guess) but I know syndromes can be passed on.
The law isn't policing morals, its policing the biological effects incest has on humanity.
And yet gay marriage is the real hot button issue right now. Priorities.
